July at Harold's and Maude's

Welcome to SUMMER! We're in recovery from June, but we still have plenty of fun things in store for yinz!

It's all rainbows and glitter, no matter the month!

What a beautiful month we had in June! Between Pride Prom, our Pride Book Bazaar, and Pride Millvale, yinz all rocked our SOCKS off. Our bar was packed full of beautiful queer folx so frequently in June, and we sure hope that everyone who found us for the first time keeps coming back!

While Pride month has come to a close, we sure aren't putting away our rainbows and glitter. Those are year-round features at Harold's and Maude's.

We're excited to settle into a cozy month full of our normally scheduled events, AND we have a few treats on the calendar as well! Read through for all the details!

Patio Sale at the Haunt!

Sunday, July 9th @ 2PM

It's your average yard sale, just.... at a bar? We've offered space on the patio for some local cool queers (and friends!) that have some things that could use a new home. Who knows what they'll be selling, but there should be bargains and, worst case, you're at a cool bar! Weather permitting: if it's drizzling, we're still going, but if the rain gets heavy, we'll reschedule. Be sure to follow us on social media for last-minute updates!

Plant Swap

Thursday, July 13th @ 7PM

NO COVER, 21+ We'll be hosting a PLANT SWAP on July 13th! Bring the plants you don't have space for and trade them for some fresh bbs. Or just stop in and adopt a new green friend! We'll have plenty of extras (especially if you want pothos or zebrina lolol).

Stitch & Witch

Tuesday, July 18 @ 7PM

We're adding a new biweekly event at the Haunt! Starting July 18th, every other Tuesday, stop in for a classic Stitch & Bitch(WITCH!): bring your knitting, crocheting, sewing - whatever project you're working on, and hang out in a relaxing community space with mocktails, cocktails, beer, and good food!

Spoken Word Porn-A-Thon Fundraiser

Join the witches for a night of chaos and hilarity - we're raising funds for bar renovations and what better way to do so than to ..... read porn????

You can pay money to have (the prolific and pornographic) Ringa write smutty fanfiction and then we'll all get together and watch Athena read it live!

Now, if you know Ringa and Athena, then you understand that this will be an absolutely hilarious thing to see.

If you don't know Ringa and Athena.... well, just imagine two friends, one fiendish and one definitely easily flustered. It will be an evening full of laughs FOR SURE.

In addition to listening to Athena read some choice smut, we'll also be doing some spicy haiku throw-downs - attendees can suggest a topic and Ringa and Maura will have a haiku battle! The audience gets to pick who wins! Bring cash for raffles & haiku throwdowns! Commision some smut here! And be sure to get your ticket!

Sigil Making Workshop

Join Maude's head witch, Athena Lirael, for a workshop on sigil making! During the workshop, we will go over a number of techniques so that you can find one that best fits your practice. All participants will receive a supply kit put together specifically for this class. The price of admission includes the supplies used in the workshop as well as supplies to take home! Tattoo Pop-Up

Kitty will be coming back to the Haunt for another pop-up event! She'll be tattooing folx right in the bar and is sure to have some amazing flash available. Glittersty will be hosting an all-ages hangout every first Sunday of the month! As always, Glittersty Pop-Ups are sober events, and no alcohol will be served or displayed.

Bring the whole fam (whole polycule!) and hang out with us! Play some games, check out some food or mocktails, and enjoy the patio (weather and air quality permitting)!

Full Moon Ritual

Join the Queer Coven for a full moon ritual! We're combining the event with our weekly livestream! We'll be gathering at 7 and the ritual will be at 8 on the patio at the bar if the weather allows! Join the Maude Witches for weekly rituals every Wednesday! They're free, for everyone, and a great way to add some sacred time to your schedule while also meeting some cool queer witches. Our rituals will be at 7:30 on the back patio (weather permitting!)

Tabletop Tuesdays

Multiple Tuesdays @ 6PM & 8PM

$5 Tickets, 21+

During our Tabletop Tuesday events, we run at least two games! In addition to DnD, there will be an additional RPG system featured for each event! Tabletop Tuesdays will be July 11th and 25th! The first set of games run at 6:00pm and the second set of games run at 8pm! Get your tickets here!

Queer Coven!

Every 3rd Thursday, our Queer Coven meets up for an evening of community building and skill sharing! Queer Coven members get a discount at Maude's on supplies like candles, herbs, crystals, and more. Meet at the shop to re-stock your supply and then join us at the bar for snacks and drinks and friendship! RSVP on our website or on Facebook to stay in the loop on what we have planned!

Our July 20th Queer Coven will be a book swap! Bring magick/witchcraft books you're finished with and swap them out for something else!
